Rejection of Applicants — Notification of Rejection

  1. The commissioner may reject the application of any person for admission to an assessment or may strike the name of a person from a list, if the department determines that the applicant:
    1. Lacks any of the required qualifications;
    2. Is incapable of performing the essential functions of the position that the applicant is seeking;
    3. Has been convicted of a crime rendering the applicant unsuitable for a particular position;
    4. Has been dismissed for cause from state service;
    5. Has made a false statement of a material fact; or
    6. Committed or attempted to commit a fraud or deception in connection with submitting an application or attempting to secure an appointment to state service.
  2. Any person whose name is removed from a list of eligibles for any reason shall be notified.
