(a) The electors, elected as provided in this subchapter, shall meet at the office of the Secretary of State, in a room to be designated by him or her in the State Capitol Building, at the time appointed by the laws of the United States at the hour of 10:00 a.m. of that day, and give their votes for President of the United States and for Vice President of the United States, in the manner provided in this subchapter, and perform such duties as are or may be required by law.
(b)
(1)
(A) Each elector shall serve without pay, but he or she is eligible for reimbursement by the Secretary of State for reasonable and necessary expenses to attend a meeting under subsection (a) of this section.
(B) An elector who is reimbursed for expenses under subdivision (b)(1)(A) of this section shall be reimbursed at the same rate prescribed for a state employee.
(2) Any person appointed by the electors assembled to fill a vacancy shall also receive the compensation provided for electors appointed.
