Duties of the Arkansas Evaluation Center

  1. (a) The Arkansas Evaluation Center shall:

    1. (1) Contribute to the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff by:

      1. (A) Attracting students to existing courses;

      2. (B) Providing new online and distance learning courses; and

      3. (C) Serving as a catalyst to stimulate university faculty to conduct evaluation and research;

    2. (2) Provide academic training that consists of a variety of modalities, including courses, virtual classrooms, practicums, workshops, and invited speakers;

    3. (3) Assist the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff in offering a series of evaluation-related courses, including qualitative or ethnographic approaches, statistics, research design, evaluation approaches and methods, and politics of evaluation, that will be provided primarily through the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff's School of Education; and

    4. (4) Assist the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff in developing and implementing the Certificate Program in Effective Evaluation and the Masters Degree Program in Effective Evaluation.

  2. (b) The center shall provide training on evaluation to a cadre of professionals interested in pursuing study in evaluation through course work, evaluation conference workshops, and invited lectures delivered by recognized experts.
