  1. (a) This subchapter does not create a presumption concerning the intention of an individual who has not made or who has revoked an advance directive.

  2. (b) Notwithstanding any term of an insurance policy or annuity to the contrary, a death resulting from the withholding or withdrawal of health care in accordance with this subchapter does not constitute a suicide or homicide or legally impair or invalidate an insurance policy or an annuity providing a death benefit.

  3. (c) The withholding or withdrawal of medical care from a principal in accordance with this subchapter does not constitute a suicide, euthanasia, homicide, mercy killing, or assisted suicide.
