Duty to maintain quality of grain

  1. (a) It shall be the public grain warehouseman's duty and obligation to condition and maintain the quantity and quality of all grain as receipted.

  2. (b)

    1. (1) If the condition of any grain offered for storage is such that it probably will adversely affect the condition of grain in the public grain warehouse, the public grain warehouseman shall not receive the grain for storage or store the grain.

    2. (2) If the public grain warehouse has separate bins or is equipped with proper conditioning apparatus, the public grain warehouseman may receive the grain for storage in separate bins or may condition it and then store it in a manner which will not lower the grade of other grain.
