  1. (a)

    1. (1) The duties of the Director of the Arkansas State Claims Commission shall include maintaining a system of filing and adjudicating of claims or actions against the state.

    2. (2) The director shall keep a docket of all claims or actions filed and shall present them to the Arkansas State Claims Commission in the chronological order of filing.

    3. (3) The director is responsible for maintenance and custody of the docket, files, and records of the commission, including the transcripts of testimony and exhibits, with all papers and requests filed in proceedings, the minutes of all actions taken, and all of the commission's findings, determinations, opinions, reports, orders, and rules.

    4. (4) The director shall prepare the docket of claims or actions to be considered by the commission and shall notify all parties of record of the time, date, and place of hearing in advance when a claim or action will be docketed for hearing before the commission.

    5. (5) The director shall be responsible for hiring personnel in the administration of the commission.

  2. (b) The commission shall authorize the director to sign or authenticate all orders and other actions of the commission.
