  1. (a) All persons, companies, or corporations operating any streetcar line for the transportation of passengers in any city of the first class in this state shall be required to keep every streetcar run by them for the transportation of passengers heated during the fall, winter, and spring seasons of each year so as to make them comfortable for all passengers on the cars.

  2. (b) All persons, companies, or corporations failing to keep every streetcar operated by them heated as provided in this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum not less than twenty-five dollars ($25.00) nor more than fifty dollars ($50.00). Each day each car is not heated as provided in this section shall be counted as a separate offense within the provisions of this section.
