Until the opioid overdose reversal medication bulk purchasing and distribution program established in RCW 70.14.170 is operational:

(1) Upon initiation or renewal of a contract with the authority to administer a medicaid managed care plan, a managed care organization must reimburse a hospital or behavioral health agency for dispensing or distributing opioid overdose reversal medication to a covered person under RCW 70.41.485 and 71.24.594.

(2) If the person is not enrolled in a medicaid managed care plan and does not have any other available insurance coverage, the authority must reimburse a hospital, behavioral health agency, or pharmacy for dispensing or distributing opioid overdose reversal medication under RCW 70.41.485 and 71.24.594.
