Examiner of titles—Appointment—Oath—Bond.

The judges of the superior court in and for the state of Washington for the counties for which they were elected or appointed shall appoint a competent attorney in each county to be examiner of titles and legal adviser of the registrar. The examiner of titles in each county shall be paid in each case by the applicant such compensation as the judge of the superior court of the state of Washington in and for that county shall determine. Every examiner of titles shall, before entering upon the duties of his or her office, take and subscribe an oath of office to faithfully and impartially perform the duties of his or her office, and shall also give a bond in such amount and with such sureties as shall be approved by the judge of the said superior court, payable in like manner and with like conditions as required of the registrar. A copy of the bond shall be entered upon the records of said court and the original shall be filed with the registrar.
