The department of licensing technology improvement and data management account is created in the highway safety fund. All receipts from fees collected under RCW 46.12.630(5) must be deposited into the account. Expenditures from the account may be used only for investments in technology and data management at the department. During the 2019-2021 and 2021-2023 biennia, the account may also be used for responding to public records requests. Moneys in the account may be spent only after appropriation.
