The presiding judge of the Superior court shall appoint a clerk for the Superior Court of the Virgin Islands. The clerk shall, subject to provisions of sections 4, 5, 6, 31, and 32 of this title, appoint a chief deputy clerk for each judicial division of the court. The clerk, subject to provisions of sections 4, 5, 6, 31, and 32 of this title, may appoint other necessary deputies and employees. The Superior Court shall appoint a sufficient number of court reporters. The office of the clerk of the Superior Court shall be maintained at Charlotte Amalie and the office of the chief deputy clerk, division of St. Croix, shall be maintained at Christiansted with an additional office, in the charge of a deputy clerk under the chief deputy clerk's supervision, at Frederiksted.
