A vesper marriage is a civil contract by and between two competent persons of opposite sex, each of whom shall have attained the age of sixty years, by which the parties agree to live together in the relationship of husband and wife without acquiring any interest in or claim upon the marital estate, property and income of the other and without any legal right of inheritance, one from the other, in accordance with provisions and conditions of this subchapter.
