At any time after a complaint is filed, the Commission may file a petition in the Superior Court, seeking appropriate temporary relief for a period of time not to exceed 30 days against the respondent pending final determination of proceedings under this chapter, including an order or judgment restraining him from doing or procuring any act tending to render ineffectual any order the Commission may enter with respect to the complaint. The court may grant such temporary relief or restraining order as it deems just and proper. On motion of the complainant, the Commission, the respondent or on its own motion, the court may hear the case on its merits for immediate disposition.
