Whenever it may be necessary to serve such an order upon the owner of premises, the order may be served either by delivering to and leaving with the owner a copy of the order, or, if the owner is absent from the jurisdiction of the officer making the order, by mailing the copy to the owner's last known post office address.

  • (b) Within 24 hours after the service of an order under this section, the owner or occupant may appeal from the order to the Board of Building Appeals, which shall have jurisdiction to determine such appeal.

  • (c) In the event that the Director shall pursuant to section 606, paragraph (6) of this chapter order the removal of a building or other structure, and the owner shall fail within the time stated in the order to comply, the Director may cause the building or other structure to be demolished and removed by the Government of the Virgin Islands.
