  • If it appears to the Board of Parole from a report by the proper officers of the penitentiary, prison or jail or upon application by a prisoner for release on parole that there is a reasonable probability that such applicant will live and remain at liberty without violating the laws and if in the opinion of the Board such release is not incompatible with the welfare of society, the Board may, in its discretion, authorize the release of such applicant on parole.
  • The parolee shall be allowed to go outside of the penitentiary, prison or jail, upon such terms and conditions, as the Board of Parole prescribes. The Board of Parole shall issue findings in support of its decision concerning the grant of parole, to include the terms and conditions of release.
  • While on parole, the parolee shall not depart from the Virgin Islands except on written permission from the Board, and upon such conditions as it may prescribe. A parolee shall not frequent places where intoxicating liquors are sold; shall not associate with persons of bad repute; shall conduct himself honorably and work diligently; and shall not violate any laws.
