  • As used in this chapter and unless the context requires otherwise

    • (1) “Commissioner” means the Commissioner of the Virgin Islands Police Department.

    • (2) “Department” means the Virgin Islands Police Department.

    • (3) “National Incident Based Reporting System” or “NIBRS” means an enhanced incident-based crime reporting system relating to every crime occurrence, developed for reporting crime figures to the Federal Bureau of Investigations.
