  • (a) The School shall be administered by a Board of Governors consisting of seven persons: the Chairman of the Board of Career and Technical Education, a member of the Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Hotel and Tourism Association, and four other persons appointed by the Governor with the advice and consent of the Legislature. Of the four appointees, two shall be residents of St. Croix and two shall be residents of St. Thomas/St. John. None shall be employees of the Government of the United States Virgin Islands. All shall have experience and training in Virgin Islands tourism industries.

  • (b) Appointed members shall serve a term of four years and may be reappointed. They shall serve until their successors are appointed. Qualified members of the Board of Governors shall be reimbursed for actual reasonable expenses incurred in attending any meeting of the Board. No salary shall be paid for service on the Board.

  • (c) The Board of Governors shall elect such officers as it deems necessary. It shall establish by-laws for its operations and the administration of the School. The Board shall appoint, with the approval of the Governor, a Dean, who shall be the principal administrative officer of the School.
