  • (a) All animals whose meat will be offered for sale in public places in the Virgin Islands shall be slaughtered at government-controlled slaughterhouses which shall be inspected and approved by the Commissioner of Health.

  • (b) The Commissioner of Agriculture shall supervise and regulate the operation of slaughterhouses in the Virgin Islands, and shall fix the rates or fees, subject to the approval of the Governor, to be charged for their use.

  • (c) All fees received for the use of Government-controlled slaughterhouses shall be remitted to the Commissioner of Finance and be covered by him into the General Fund of the Treasury.
