  • (a) Every applicant for a license pursuant to this chapter shall be required to answer a reasonable number of questions in writing and by practical examination to show that he has sufficient knowledge, technical training and administrative ability to perform and supervise the practice of his trade. Each Board shall hold regular examinations at least three times each year on each island. The appropriate Board shall also conduct such investigations as may be proper to determine the character and fitness of applicants.

  • (b) Within 15 days after an examination, the Board conducting such examination shall notify the Commissioner of Licensing and Consumer Affairs and the person or persons examined of the outcome of the examination. Such Board shall also within the same period notify the Commissioner of Licensing and Consumer Affairs of the names and addresses of all persons who have passed the examination and of the particular license they are entitled to receive. The Commissioner of Licensing and Consumer Affairs shall, upon such notification, issue such appropriate licenses.

  • (c) Any person who fails to pass an examination as prescribed pursuant to this chapter may apply for reexamination after the expiration of 60 days upon payment of the regular examination fee.
