Dogs prohibited in Virgin Islands Public Housing Projects

  • (a) It shall be unlawful for any occupant or tenant in any Virgin Islands Public Housing Project to own, breed or house any dog or dangerous pet, except seeing eye dogs, within such project.

  • (b) Any occupant or tenant who is found in violation of subsection (a) of this section shall be fined not less than $50 and not more than $250.

  • (c) Any dog or dangerous pet, except seeing eye dogs, found in any Virgin Islands Public Project shall be immediately removed, at the owner's expense, by the Police Department, with the assistance of the Virgin Islands Housing Authority, Humane Society or licensed veterinarian if requested.
