  • (a) In addition to any penalty or liability under any other law, any person who willfully deprives a member or officer of his employment by another, obstructs him or his employer in respect to his trade, business or employment because of his affiliation with the National Guard of the Virgin Islands, or because of his necessary absence from business in performance of such duty as such, and any person who willfully violates either sections 1524 or 1525 or both of this title shall be punished by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars, or by imprisonment for not more than six months, or both.

  • (b) Any officer or employee of the Government of the Virgin Islands, its agencies, authorities and public corporations who violates section 1524 of this title shall be subject to appropriate administrative discipline, including, when circumstances warrant, suspension from duty without pay or removal from office.
