  • (a) The Board of Pharmacy shall hold regular examinations in June and November of each year, on such subjects relating to the practice of pharmacy as it may deem necessary for the protection of public health including examinations on theoretical and practical subjects as follows:

    • Theoretical:
      • Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Jurisprudence Materia Medica Chemistry Pharmaceutical Calculations
      Practical:
      • Techniques in the filling of prescriptions Oral interview
  • The applicant must pass the examination with a general average rating of not less than 75 percent for all subjects, and a grade of not less than 60 percent in any one subject, except that in the case of the practical examination the minimum passing grade shall be 75 percent.
  • In case of failure at the first examination, the applicant shall have the privilege of a second and third examination. No additional fee shall be required for the second examination. In case of failure in a third examination, the applicant shall have the privilege of further examination only after satisfactorily completing additional preparation as directed and approved by the Board.
  • On the second or further examination, the Board may give the applicant credit for those subjects on which he has received a passing grade. The applicant must repeat those subjects on which his grade was less than the minimum required for passing.
