The Magistrate Division consists of no fewer than two magistrate judges per judicial district and other officers and employees as the Presiding Judge of the Superior Court subject to the authority of the Supreme Court considers necessary for the proper administration and performance of the duties and functions of the division. Each magistrate judge shall reside in the judicial district for which he is appointed. Magistrate judges may not actively engage in the practice of law, nor engage in any other business, occupation, or employment inconsistent with the proper performance of their duties as judicial officers. Magistrate judges may not hold any other public office for which monetary compensation is provided.
