  • Payment shall be made to members of the Police Auxiliary, who are ordered to duty by the Police Commissioner or his authorized designee. Such payment shall be made in accordance with Title 3, section 566 of this Code, out of any annual appropriation therefor to the U.S. Virgin Islands Police Department (V.I.P.D.).
  • Members of the Police Auxiliary who work a minimum of 40 hours per week shall be entitled to leave benefits as prescribed by Title 3, subchapter VI of this Code and shall be eligible to participate in the Government Employees Retirement System.
  • All members of the Police Auxiliary shall be eligible to receive workmen's compensation in accordance with Title 24, section 282 of this Code and payment granted by this section shall not be considered monetary compensation for the purposes of Title 24, section 282, subsection (b) of this Code.
  • Members of the Police Auxiliary shall be paid a minimum of 75% of the beginning hourly wages of a police officer while called to duty by the Governor, Commissioner of Police or his designee. The Police Commissioner or his designee is authorized to negotiate for the deployment of the auxiliary police within other government agencies and instrumentalities subject to the availability of personnel.
