§ 706i. Organization meeting; notice

Within 60 days after the copies of the certificate have been filed in the office of the clerk of each school district to be included as members of the union school district, the voters in the union district shall hold an organization meeting within the district. Notice of the day, hour, and place of the meeting shall be posted in at least one public place in each member school district of the union school district and published once in a newspaper circulating in the union district. Publication and posting shall be made not more than 40 days nor less than 30 days before the date of the meeting. The warning for such meeting shall be drawn by the Secretary or by such person or persons who are voters in the union school district as the Secretary may designate for the purpose.
