(a) There shall be three selectmen elected for a staggered term of three years, with only one of these positions vacant in any one year, and two selectmen elected for a one-year term.

(b) At their first regular meeting following the annual Town meeting, the selectmen shall elect a Chair and a Vice Chair of the Board of Selectmen, each of whom shall be elected for a term of one year and may succeed himself or herself indefinitely.
