  1. Each official whose salary is required to be supplemented from the county general fund shall keep a book account of all fees collected and make an annual report of the collections to the county mayor. No funds shall be paid from the general funds of the county to supplement salaries until such report has been filed with the county mayor.
  2. These reports and records shall be entered in a well-bound book by the county clerk and kept on file in that office.
  3. This report shall be used as a basis to compute any supplementary compensation required or authorized to be paid in order to aggregate, with the fees collected, the required annual compensation or the authorized compensation in case of the office of sheriffs in the counties where penal farms have been established as provided in § 8-24-105 [obsolete].
