Each domestic, foreign and alien insurer who is authorized to transact insurance in this state shall annually, on or before March l of each year, file with the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), and pay the fee established by the NAIC for filing, reviewing or processing of the information, a copy of its annual statement convention blank, together with the additional filings as prescribed by the commissioner for the preceding year.
The information filed with the NAIC shall be in the same format and scope as that required by the commissioner of commerce and insurance and shall include the signed jurat page and the actuarial certification. Any amendments and addenda to the annual statement filing subsequently filed with the commissioner shall also be filed with the NAIC. Each insurer doing business in more than one (1) state, and any other insurers as required by the commissioner, shall also file with the NAIC annual and quarterly financial statement information in computer readable format as required by the insurance regulatory information system.
Foreign insurers that are domiciled in a state that has a law substantially similar to subsection (a) shall be deemed in compliance with this section.
