It is a Class C misdemeanor for any person to:
- Display or cause or permit to be displayed, or have in the person's possession, any cancelled, revoked, suspended, or fraudulently altered driver license, certificate of driving or other government-issued photo identification document;
- Lend a driver license, certificate of driving or other government-issued photo identification document to any other person or knowingly permit the use thereof by another;
- Display or represent as one's own any driver license, certificate of driving or other government-issued photo identification document not issued to the person;
- Fail or refuse to surrender to the department upon its lawful demand any driver license, certificate of driving or other government-issued photo identification document that has been suspended, revoked, or cancelled;
- Permit or commit any unlawful use of a driver license, certificate of driving or other government-issued photo identification document issued to the person;
- Do any act forbidden or fail to perform any act required by this chapter, notwithstanding any contrary law; or
- Display or have in possession any photograph, photostat, duplicate, reproduction or facsimile of any driver license, certificate of driving or other government-issued photo identification document unless authorized by this chapter.
