It is unlawful for any person engaged in the business of manufacturing in this or any other state to give away or sell for a less price than the cost of manufacture, any manufactured article in this state, with the intent and purpose of destroying honest competition; provided, that nothing in this section shall be construed to prohibit the distribution to consumers of specimens of proprietary articles in good faith as samples.
Any person violating this section commits a Class C misdemeanor.
