- Promotion Boards — Meetings — Organization — Duties
Members of each board shall meet and organize within thirty (30) days of their appointment and shall elect a chair, a vice chair and a secretary-treasurer from the membership of the board, each to serve for a one-year term. The duties and responsibilities of the board shall be prescribed by the commissioner to the extent applicable and shall include the following:
- Developing and recommending to the commissioner administrative rules and procedures relating to the assessments;
- Preparing and effectuating the estimated budget required for the proper operation of the board;
- Developing methods for assessing producers and methods for collecting the necessary funds;
- Collecting and assembling information necessary for the proper administration of the assessment program; and
- Performing any other duties necessary to the operation of the promotion program in coordination with the commissioner.
