- Part Definitions
As used in this part, unless the context otherwise requires:
- “Commission” means the Tennessee claims commission created pursuant to § 9-8-301;
- “Criminal injuries compensation award” means the compensation awarded pursuant to part 1 of this chapter;
- “Division” means the division of claims and risk management created pursuant to § 9-8-401;
- “Guardian ad litem” means a responsible adult appointed by the juvenile court to protect the rights and interests of the minor;
- “Juvenile court” means the court having juvenile court jurisdiction in the county where the minor resides; and
- “Minor” means any person who has not attained eighteen (18) years of age and who has not been otherwise emancipated.
