- Designation of Code
- This compilation of the laws of the state is to be designated as the “Tennessee Code” and the annotated edition of the code provided for by chapter 1 of this title shall be designated as “Tennessee Code Annotated”. Citations to the Tennessee Code Annotated may incorporate the abbreviations “Tenn. Code Ann.” or “T.C.A.”
- As used in acts and resolutions of the general assembly, “Tennessee Code”, “Tennessee Code Annotated”, “Tenn. Code Ann.” or “T.C.A.” shall, unless a contrary intention is manifest, be construed to refer to this enactment of the Tennessee Code, amendments and revisions of the Tennessee Code, and additions and supplements to the Tennessee Code.
