36-19-27. Application for funeral establishment license--Fee--Licensee in charge.

An application for a license to operate a funeral establishment shall be submitted for each location and shall be in writing on a form provided by the State Board of Funeral Service and shall be accompanied by a fee not to exceed two hundred fifty dollars set by the State Board of Funeral Service, by rule promulgated pursuant to chapter 1-26. A license to operate a funeral establishment may be granted upon approval and recommendation by the state board.

The application shall state the name of the individual who is duly licensed as either a funeral director or in funeral service and who shall be in charge and responsible for all transactions conducted and services performed.
