(2) Each surplus lines insurer assuming surplus lines insurance shall be considered thereby to have subjected itself to ORS 735.400 to 735.495.
(3) The remedies provided in this section are in addition to any other methods provided by law for service of process upon insurers.
(4) When a nonresident surplus lines insurance producer transacts outside this state a surplus lines insurance contract covering an Oregon home state risk, the producer and the surplus lines insurer of the contract are subject to this section and to ORS 735.490 or to rules adopted by the director in lieu thereof.
