(2) Subsection (1) of this section does not limit or prohibit the operator of an institution from enforcing any religious affiliation requirements imposed as a bona fide occupational qualification or business necessity or as otherwise permitted by section 703(e) of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 or other provision of federal law.
