(2) The director is responsible for providing for programs to deliver to the public services assigned to the department and for undertaking long-range planning necessary for the effective delivery of those services.
(3) The director shall receive such salary as may be provided by law or, if not so provided, as may be fixed by the Governor, and shall be reimbursed for all expenses actually and necessarily incurred in the performance of official duties. Such compensation shall be paid out of the Unemployment Compensation Administration Fund or the Child Care Fund, as appropriate.
