(2)(a) Each public institution of higher education must have the same developmental educational requirements and require the same placement tests for each subject area for:

(A) An incoming student who has completed high school and who the institution determines is college ready; and

(B) An incoming student who has:

(i) Received a certificate for passing an approved high school equivalency test such as the General Educational Development (GED) test as provided in ORS 350.175; and

(ii) Received a grade indicating that the student is college ready.

(b) A student shall be considered college ready in a subject area in which the student has received a score designated "GED College Ready" on a General Educational Development (GED) test for which the Director of the Office of Community Colleges and Workforce Development has issued a certificate under ORS 350.175.

(3) The Higher Education Coordinating Commission may adopt rules to implement this section. [2021 c.68 §1]
