The prosecuting attorney of a county, or the village solicitor or city director of law of a municipal corporation, wherein a violation of this chapter allegedly occurs, shall, when so requested by the state dental board, take charge of and conduct the prosecution.

In addition to any other remedy provided in this chapter, the state dental board may request the attorney general, or the prosecuting attorney of any county where a person is practicing dentistry or dental hygiene without a license or certificate from the board to apply to the court of common pleas of the county where the unauthorized practice occurs for any injunction to restrain such practice. The court shall grant injunctive relief upon a showing that the respondent named in the petition is practicing dentistry or dental hygiene without a valid license or exemption from licensure granted pursuant to this chapter.
