There is hereby created in the state treasury the attorney general reimbursement fund that shall be used for the expenses of the office of the attorney general in providing legal services and other services on behalf of the state. Except as otherwise provided in this division, all amounts received by the attorney general as reimbursement for legal services and other services that have been rendered to other state agencies shall be paid into the state treasury to the credit of the attorney general reimbursement fund. All amounts awarded by a court to the attorney general for attorney's fees, investigation costs, expert witness fees, fines, and all other costs and fees associated with representation provided by the attorney general and all amounts awarded to the attorney general by a court shall be paid into the state treasury to the credit of the attorney general reimbursement fund. All amounts paid into the state treasury under division (C)(3) of section 2953.32 of the Revised Code and that are required under that division to be credited to the attorney general reimbursement fund shall be credited to the fund, and the amounts so credited shall be used by the bureau of criminal identification and investigation for expenses related to the sealing or expungement of records.
