"Preexisting condition" defined. [Effective through December 31, 2019.]

"Preexisting condition" means a condition, regardless of the cause of the condition, for which medical advice, diagnosis, care or treatment was recommended or received during the 6 months immediately preceding the effective date of the new coverage. The term does not include genetic information in the absence of a diagnosis of the condition related to such information.
