1. A person who engages in an activity for which a license as a mortgage broker or mortgage agent is required pursuant to this chapter, without regard to whether such a person is licensed pursuant to this chapter, may be required by the Commissioner to pay restitution to any person who has suffered an economic loss as a result of a violation of the provisions of this chapter or any regulation adopted pursuant thereto.

2. Notwithstanding the provision of paragraph (d) of subsection 1 of NRS 622A.120, payment of restitution pursuant to subsection 1 shall be done in a manner consistent with the provisions of chapter 622A of NRS.
