If the personal representative neglects or refuses to give new sureties, to the satisfaction of the court, on the return of the citation, the court being satisfied the citation has been served, or within such reasonable time as the court allows, not exceeding 5 days unless the surety petitioning consents to a longer extension of time, the court shall revoke the letters granted.
