81-6-205. Removal of area from protective district -- discontinuance of district -- fee saved. Upon receipt of a petition or petitions signed in the same number and the same manner as the petition to form the district provided for in 81-6-201, a board of county commissioners shall remove the area in its county from the cattle protective district or the boards of county commissioners of all of the counties affected may discontinue the entire cattle protective district. The discontinuance of a district or part of a district does not affect any fee imposed prior to the receipt of the petition or petitions and the proceeds of any fee imposed must be used for the purposes of this part. A district or portion of a district may not be discontinued as long as there is any outstanding indebtedness against it.
