71-3-112. Holder of lien not entitled to compensation. Except as otherwise provided by the Uniform Commercial Code, one who holds property by virtue of a lien on the property is not entitled to compensation from the owner of the property for any trouble or expense that the person incurs respecting the property, except to the same extent as a borrower under 70-7-110 and 70-7-111.
