70-6-502. No liability without negligence. A hotelkeeper or innkeeper is not liable to any guest for the loss of wearing apparel, goods, or personal effects when it appears that the loss occurred without the fault or negligence of the hotelkeeper or the innkeeper or the hotelkeeper's or innkeeper's employees.
