69-11-411. Sale of perishable property for freightage. If, from any cause other than want of ordinary care and diligence on the carrier's part, a common carrier is unable to deliver perishable property transported by the carrier and collect the carrier's charges, the carrier may cause the property to be sold in open market to satisfy the carrier's lien for freightage.
