Sale of perishable property — when and by whom ordered, how made. — When property shall be actually seized which is likely to perish or depreciate in value before the probable termination of the suit, or the keeping of which would be attended with much loss or expense, the court may order the same to be sold by the officer having charge of the property, and a return of the proceedings thereon to be made by the officer at a time to be fixed therein, and the sale shall be conducted in like manner, as near as may be, as sales of goods under writs of fieri facias.
