Sec. 14.

A witness entitled to a fee under section 13 of this chapter shall prove his or her attendance and travel in open court before the clerk of the court. An order from the clerk of the court shall authorize the payment of the witness fee to the witness in the same manner as the fee of a juror attending the court is paid.
