Annual Meeting; Notice, Failure to Hold.

Sec. 6.

Every such corporation shall hold its annual meeting of stockholders between the first Monday of February and the last day of August of each year as its by-laws may provide. Notice of the time and place of such meeting shall be given by the secretary by causing the same to be published in some paper published and circulated in the county where the principal office of such corporation is located, at least once in each week successively for 4 weeks prior to the time fixed for such meeting: Provided, That such notice may be given personally, in writing, or by mailing the same to each stockholder, addressed to him at his place of residence shown on the books of said company, in which case no publication shall be necessary: And provided further, That if, for any reason, such annual meeting is not held, the corporation shall not for that reason be dissolved.
